It’s simply a case of do or die for our Senior Hurlers as we head to Pearse Stadium and take on Galway in our final Leinster Senior Hurling Championship Group Stage game.
The Dubs have a draw, two wins and a defeat to their name, which came last weekend in heartbreaking fashion when Eoin Cody found the Dublin net on the stroke of full-time to grab the win for Kilkenny.
With Kilkenny and Wexford going head-to-head in this final round of the group stage, a win for Dublin would see us progress to the Leinster final. A draw could yet see us into the provincial final or finish third which would see us qualify into the preliminary round of the All-Ireland quarter-finals, depending on the result in the Kilkenny v Wexford game. But a loss to Galway will likely see our hurlers' summer come to an end.

Just like Dublin, Galway have two wins, a draw and a loss to their name and after losing out in last year's Leinster final, their focus will be making this year’s provincial decider and going one step further.
Henry Shefflin is spoilt for choice when it comes to attacking threats, as Galway look to get one over the Dubs this Sunday. They boast the attacking prowess of Evan Niland & Conor Cooney, who seem to be scoring for fun this summer with 0-24 and 2-22 to their names from their four games in Leinster so far. Gavin Lee is also known to make himself useful in front of goals.
On paper, it may seem like a tough task to travel to Galway with our championship season on the line, but Dublin also have more than enough to keep their championship ambitions alive.
Dónal Burke has 1-41 from our group stage games so far this year, while the likes of Seán Currie, Danny Sutcliffe and the Hayes brothers- Ronan and Brian- have also impressed from an attacking point of view, that can help us head home to the capital with the spoils.
If you can't make it to Salthill, the game will be shown live on RTÉ 2.
