What a day we had yesterday in Parnell Park. We were privileged to host Megan & Tori for their Kicking For Autism 32 Fundraiser. The girls had a welcome reception with 25 GAA All Star players and 19 Coaches from Kilmacud Crokes, Na Fianna, Raheny GAA, Ranelagh Gaels & St Vincents.
The girls and their team of Damien Crawford, Darren Mac Conmhaoil & Martin Skeffington have done brilliant work in raising Autism Awareness
This is Tori & Megan’s second time raising funds for Autism. They previously kicked points in all 51 GAA Grounds in Tyrone. The Kicking For Autism 32 fundraiser was a massive 4 day event where they kicked points in every GAA County Ground. What the girls and their team continue to do for Autism awareness is fantastic and their love for the game of Gaelic football is infectious.
Once the Kicking For Autism 32 cohort left to their next venue, the second part of the event took place where our All Stars players, coaches and families got the opportunity to take part in a variety of games and activities that included a Sensory Bus and Inflatable FUN and pop up goals.
We are indebted to Gemma and Ray from SENCO for their brilliant sensory bus. Thank you to Maria Curtis, Owen Mooney, Ger O’Connor, Annie Deneher, Ciaran Monks, Eoin O’Connor & Finbarr O’Mahoney for logistics and planning and huge thanks to Paul Lundy for his photography skills and time.
Finally, thanks to everyone for your support and please give what you can to two fantastic organisations supporting people with Autism
