Friends Of Dublin Hurling & Camogie Update- 31st March 25

Mon, 31 March 2025

The Annual General meeting of FODHC will go ahead this Wednesday night April 2nd at 7.30pm in Parnell Park. We are hoping to have as many clubs as possible there on the night, so please get the word out! There will be a social cuppa after giving all the chance to chat and discuss.

The senior camogie team ended their Very National League interest on Saturday in O'Toole Park when they were defeated by Kilkenny  by 2-16 to 0-14. Dublin will now play in Division 1 B next season. However, they will have a short break before they meet Kilkenny in the semi-final of the Leinster Championship. A good  crowd were on hand on Saturday for this game and it was great to see two very neighbouring clubs take to the field at the break. Faughs Celtic and St.Judes underage teams entertained the crowd. One little girl, 9 year old Emily Mc Auliffe was delighted to meet up with the 3 Gannon sisters, Niamh, Claire and Aisling after the game. Emily is also a St.Jude's member and was there with Dad Jim on the sideline.

While Dublin might have lost the game, the little players ran out on to pitch after the game to get those very important selfies, photos and autographs.

Well done to all who organised this. It is great to see half time mini-games.
