Go-Ahead Ireland launches 2024 Dublin GAA, LGFA and Camogie Club Championships

Wed, 14th August 2024

Today’s launch follows Go-Ahead Ireland’s renewal of their partnership with Dublin GAA earlier this year with the public transport provider investing in Dublin GAA infrastructure

14 August:Go-Ahead Ireland have today launched the Dublin Club Championships for 2024 across men’s and ladies’ football, hurling and camogie. The launch follows Go-Ahead Ireland’s partnership renewal with Dublin GAA earlier this year which sees the public transport provider continue to support club competitions across all four codes at various levels from senior to intermediate and junior.

Go-Ahead Ireland has been a partner of Dublin GAA since 2021 and the extension earlier this year will see their partnership remain in place until at least 2026.

As part of the renewal, Dublin GAA and Go-Ahead Ireland will continue to look at innovative ways to enhance the coverage and exposure of club competitions from our continued free to air live streaming of matches to the investment in infrastructure improvements in Parnell Park such as a new video wall scoreboard for Parnell Park in the coming months.

Brian Howard (Raheny), Kate Sullivan (St. Sylvester’s), Conor Burke (St. Vincent’s) and Claire Gannon (St. Jude’s) were in Parnell Park to help launch the 2024 Dublin GAA Club Championships.

Go-Ahead Ireland Managing Director, Dervla McKay commented:“We’re delighted to have extended our partnership with Dublin GAA earlier this year and are greatly looking forward to the club championship action to come over the next few months.

“As a leading provider of public transport throughout Dublin, Go-Ahead Ireland is rooted in the community. We are driven by community values, and we are delighted to share those values with those in Dublin GAA.

“Accessibility is one of our most important priorities, and we are thrilled to see these values reflected in our partnerships, particularly through our investment in the digital scoreboard under our Accessibility Development Fund.”

Dublin GAA Commercial and Marketing Director, Tomás Quinn added: “We are delighted to continue our club partnership with Go-Ahead Ireland and to build on the work done to date. Having a partner embedded in communities and servicing many of our clubs all over the county is an ideal fit for these competitions”.

The Dublin GAA Go-Ahead Ireland Accessibility Fund is a shared initiative, designed to support ongoing accessibility and user experience enhancements for Dublin GAA supporters, and a cornerstone to the long-term partnership of the two organisations.
