A Rúnaí, a chara,
A Note from CCC2 Executive
This year, the committee will issue over 4,000 fixtures covering the age grades Under-13, Under-14, Under-15, and Under-16. CCC2 cannot micromanage every single issued fixture. The CCC2 regulations are in place and remain consistent year after year to ensure uniformity for all parties involved.
We request that all Club Juvenile Secretaries reissue these regulations to their respective CCC2 teams.
CCC2 has consistently highlighted the shortage of referees available to cover our games. This issue is exacerbated by clubs that continue to provide an inadequate number of referees relative to the number of teams they have entered in CCC2 competitions.
As Juvenile Secretary, please clearly communicate to your CCC2 teams the protocol regarding our Referees as outlined in Regulation 13. Attached, you will find the officially issued fixtures, which each week include clear guidance for Mentors on how to interact with their assigned Referee.
It is totally unacceptable for both the committee, which is already facing a shortage of Referees, and for our Referees, to have situations where a match official arrives at a venue only to find that the game has been called off.
