Holders Ballyboden St Enda's begin their defence of the Dublin SFC title when they face Naomh Olaf this Friday night in O'Toole Park (7.0).
Last season they emerged from the pack and went all the way to winning the All-Ireland title on St Patrick's Day.
However, they will know that nothing comes easy in the Dublin Championship.
“All we are focusing on right now is Olaf’s in O’Toole Park on Friday evening,” says Boden's Robbie McDaid.
The game will stir memories of Boden’s first round fixture last year when
“Before the first round last year I think we were the sixth favourites to win the Dublin title.
“And even when we came out of Dublin, people still doubted us.
“But we believed in ourselves and that belief carried us through.
“The Dublin Championship is just so hard to win.
“Before last season, it was back in 2009 when we were previously in the final.
“It’s a long road. A tough road. And you have to be prepared.
“It’s so difficult to get out of Dublin. And when you do, you have to make the most of it,” adds the Dublin senior panelist.
