A late, late Mark Schutte goal saw holders Cuala snatch a draw, 2-12 to 0-18, against Kilmacud Crokes in their Dublin SHC ‘A’ clash in Parnell Park on Saturday.
2014 champions Crokes looked to be heading for victory in their opening round-robin clash thanks mainly to the accuracy of Oisín O’Rorke who scored 14 points before Schutte fired home.
Dublin Ryan O’Dwyer made his return to action and scored two points.
Last year’s beaten finalists St Jude’s cruised to a 1-21 to 0-13 victory over St Patrick’s Palmerstown in O’Toole Park with Mark Maguire landing their goal in the 48th minute.
Lucan Sarsfields and O'Tooles played out another stalemate, the game finished 13 a piece.
Rian McBride was top scoring for Vincent’s as his impressive tally of 2-7 as the Marino men defeated Ballinteer St John’s by 4-23 to 0-14.
