Daniel Murphy was the hat-trick hero for Castleknock U14 footballers as they defeated Ballinteer St John’s 5-11 to 0-6 in Sunday’s Feile Peil na nOg Division 1 final at Parnell Park.
The Dublin 15 side led by a goal at half-time before a scoring blitz on the restart propelled them to victory.
Castleknock hit three goals in the opening three minutes of the second half to leave St John’s with a mountain to climb.
Late on Alex Watson struck for goal as Castleknock secured an impressive victory.
In the Division 2 decider Lucan Sarsfields overcame St Sylvester’s, 1-12 to 1-5, at Parnell Park.
The midfield partnership of Colm Walsh and Jake Rooney was central to Lucan’s cause and by the interval they led 0-7 to 0-3.
Colm Walsh scored four points while Jake Rooney hit a second half as Lucan prevailed by seven points.
Thomas Davis scored four goals as they defeated Westmanstown Gaels, 4-8 to 0-11, in the Division 3 decider in Blakestown.
The Tallaght lads were behind at the break before captain Fionn Murray hit 2-4 to put his side on the road to victory.
