Dublin’s Diarmuid Connolly was named this week’s GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.
The talented St Vincent’s man edged out Monaghan's Kieran Hughes in this week’s public vote by one per cent – 38 to 37 – having polled 3389 votes.
Diarmuid scored 1-4 from play in last Saturday night’s Leinster SFC quarter-final victory over Laois in Nowlan Park but was involved in several other key moments for Jim Gavin’s side displaying his repertoire of vision, team-play, skill and pace.
Diarmuid received 38 per cent of the votes cast on the GAA's official Twitter (@officialgaa), Facebook, and Instagram pages with Dean Rock getting 25 per cent of the votes.
