Stat attack: Dublin v Kerry

It’s the clash of the two most successful football counties in next Sunday’s GAA All-Ireland senior final in Croke Park (3.30) when Kerry go in search of their 38th title while Dublin are bidding for their 25th. Kerry will also be involved in the minor final when they take on Tipperary (1.15) in what will be a repeat of the Munster final, which the Kingdom won by 2-14 to 1-11.

Dublin 3-18 Kerry 3-11 (2013 All-Ireland semi-final)

Two late goals by Kevin McManamon and Eoghan O’Gara and a point by Diarmuid Connolly gave Dublin a seven-point win after the sides were level in the 67th minute.

It was a classic contest all through on a day when only six points of the 6-29 total came from frees. Kerry led by 3-5 to 1-9 at half-time.

ALL-MUNSTER PAIRINGS IN MINOR DECIDER

The minor final is a repeat of the Munster final where Kerry beat Tipperary by 2-14 to 1-11. Kerry led by 2-5 to 0-3 after 16 minutes and while Tipperary battled back, they had left themselves with too much to do.

However, they recovered well, beating Connacht champions, Galway in the All-Ireland quarter-final and Leinster champions, Kildare in the semi-final.

Kerry beat Connacht runners-up, Sligo in the quarter-final and Ulster champions Derry in the semi-final.

Kerry, who are seeking their 13th titles, are bidding to retain the All-Ireland, having beaten Donegal in last year’s final.

Tipperary, who last won the title in 2011, are bidding for their third All-Ireland crown.
