Dublin's senior hurlers get their Allianz HL Division 1B underway this Saturday when they host Kilkenny in Parnell Park (3.30).
Mattie Kenny's men have five games in total with games following against Laois (away), Antrim (home), Clare (home) and concluding against Wexford (away) on Saturday, June 12.
Divisions 1 and 2 of the Hurling League will run from this coming weekend until the weekend of June 12/13. Division 3 of the Hurling League will run from the weekend of May 15/16 to the weekend of June 19/20.
There will be no Division 1 NHL quarter-finals, semi-finals, or final played this season. There will either be joint winners for 2021, however, if the teams that win Division 1A and Division 1B meet in the Championship, this will double as a League Final.
The Division 1 Hurling League relegation play-off will be played as curtain-raiser to a SHC semi-final in August.
In last year's League Dublin finished fourth in Division 1 B after the following sequence of results:
Round 1: Kilkenny 3-21, Dublin 0-18, January 26, Nowlan Park
Round 2: Dublin 4-18, Laois 2-17, February 2, Parnell Park
Round 3: Carlow 0-9, Dublin 0-20, February 15, Netwatch Cullen Park
Round 4: Dublin 0-18, Wexford 2-14, February 22, Croke Park
Round 5: Clare 0-27, Dublin 1-15, March 1, Cusack Park, Ennis
Dublin faced Saturday's opponents in both League and Championship action last year - with the Cats emerging victorious on both occasions.
In the League encounter in late January in Nowlan Park two first half goals ensured Dublin were chasing the game as Kilkenny emerged convincing 3-21 to 0-18 victors.
The Championship duel, played in Croke Park late last October, was a far more colourful duel when Dublin went close to staging a remarkable winning comeback in the Leinster SHC semi-final.
After trailing by 16 early points early in the second half Mattie Kenny's men made a great comeback in the concluding quarter - getting level with Daire Gray's point in the 71st minute.
However, the Cats steadied themselves with points from Alan Murphy and Huw Lawlor to edge two points in front before Dublin's Donal Burke finished the scoring.
