It’s Ulster on the double, Connacht and Leinster in next weekend’s GAA football All-Ireland semi-finals when Dublin, Galway, Monaghan and Tyrone take centre stage in Croke Park as follows:

DUBLIN v GALWAY
They meet in the championship for the first time since the 1983 All-Ireland final when Dublin won by 1-10 to 1-8. This will be the tenth championship clash between the counties, with Dublin leading 7 - 2 in wins from the previous nine. Galway’s last championship win over Dublin was in the 1934 All-Ireland final. Dublin have won all six meetings since then.

Dublin’s only defeat under Jim Gavin in the championship (2013-2018) came against Donegal in the 2014 All-Ireland semi-final. They drew with Mayo in the 2015 semi-final and 2016 final and won both replays.
Galway are back in the All-Ireland semi-final for the first time since 2001 when they beat Derry and went on to win the final, beating Meath.
Dublin’s last defeat in the semi-final was against Donegal in 2014.
Dublin have won 12, drawn one (v Galway) and lost one (v Monaghan) of 14 Allianz League and Championship games this year. Galway have won 11, drawn one (v Dublin) and lost two (v Dublin and Monaghan) of their 14 games this season.
Galway and Dublin met twice in this year’s Allianz League. They drew (0-13 each) in Round 6 in Pearse Stadium while Dublin won the final (0-18 to 0-14) in Croke Park.
The Dublin-Galway game will be preceded by the minor semi-final between Galway and Meath at 3.0.
