Senior Footballers Prepare To Face Monaghan in All-Ireland Semi Final

Wed, 12th July 2023

Dublin's Senior Footballers will take on Monaghan in the All-Ireland Semi Final on Saturday, 15th July at Croke Park (5.30pm).

The sides last met in last year’s Allianz Football League, when Monaghan came out on top in Clones.

It's been six years since the teams last met in the Championship, as Dublin claimed the spoils in the 2017 All-Ireland Quarter Final.

Dublin’s route to this year's All-Ireland Semi-Final has taken in Leinster Championship victories over Laois and Kildare, before a Leinster Final win over Louth.

In the All-Ireland SFC group stage, Dublin drew with Roscommon and beat Kildare and Sligo to finish top of the group.

Dessie Farrell's men then beat Mayo in the last eight a fortnight ago.

Monaghan’s route to the last four has seen them beat Tyrone in the Ulster Quarter Final, before suffering defeat to Derry in the Ulster Semi Final.

A draw against Derry and a win over Clare saw Monaghan progress from the All-Ireland SFC group stage, before wins over Kildare and Armagh in the All-Ireland Preliminary Quarter Final and Quarter Final respectively.

The game will also be shown live on RTÉ 2.
