After drawing with Castleknock in Round 1, St John’s were in control for the large part, thanks largely to the goals scored by Seamus Fenton and Ewan Wells.

Further down the field, Darragh O’Connell and Max Byrne were especially resolute in the away full-back line and wing-back Evan McSherry also impressed with some pin-point deliveries into his full-forward line.
Naomh Barróg are another team with three points from two games as they edged a battling Fingallians by 4-15 to 2-17 in their high-scoring clash at Páirc Barróg.
The hosts gained a decisive edge through the superb individual displays of Séadhna Ryan, Sean Doyle and Ciaran Gallagher with Ryan and Doyle scoring 1-1 apiece.
Evan O’Brien top scored with 0-9 (9f), and with Nathan Kidd and Darragh Healy also raising green flags, the Kilbarrack side held on with Ruairí McDonald, Gallagher and Dylan Duggan also contributing on the scoreboard.
Thomas Davis lead the way in top spot as they powered to a comprehensive 3-26 to 0-5 win against Erin’s Isle at Kiltipper Road.
There was another home win at Collins Avenue as Whitehall Colmcille defeated Scoil Uí Chonaill by 2-16 to 1-10.
