Good Counsel/Liffey Gaels take on Carrig & Riverstown in the AIB Leinster Club Junior Hurling Championship in the competition's quarter-final stage.
The Go-Ahead Dublin Junior Hurling A Championship winners beat St Marks 1-14 to 2-4 in the junior final at the end of October.
They have a range of options to get them over the line in Birr. Barry O’Reilly, Richard Delaney and Shane Kirby are all threats on the full-forward line. Their ability to turn the ball over and go from defence to attack is another attribute they possess, thanks to their hard-working defence and midfield.
Carrig & Riverstown claimed their first Offaly Intermediate Hurling Championship since 1996 with a 1-20 to 2-11 win over Coolderry. Brendan Hoctor and Lee Hogan will be men. Good Counsel/Liffey Gaels need to keep an eye as they can be clinical on frees.
The Offaly men have already featured in Leinster this year, beating St Brigids in Round 1 in an 18-point win in which Hogan top scored with 1-5 as they comfortably progressed to the last eight.
With Carrig & Riverstown seemingly scoring for fun in their last two outings, you can be sure the Good/Counsel/Liffey Gaels backline will be fully aware of the task they have on their hands tomorrow.
