Dublin's minor hurlers face Meath in their Electric Ireland Leinster MHC (U17) quarter-final on Wednesday night in Páirc Tailteann, Navan (7.30).
The young Royal County hurlers already have a championship game to their credit when they defeated Westmeath, 2-16 to 0-18, in Round 1 in Mullingar.
They were due to face Antrim, who had beaten Down in their opener, in Round 2 but received a walkover and therefore progressed to Wednesday's last-eight provincial tie.
Dublin were beaten by Westmeath, 1-12 to 1-9, in last year's Leinster MHC quarter-final in Cusack Park, Mullingar and a number of players who gained experience last year are eligible again this year.
Fionn Boyd, Conor Dolan, Diarmuid Ó Dúlaing and Neil Hogan all lined out against Westmeath last year while the likes of Barry McGuire and Liam Garrigan were panellists.
In Wednesday night's other Leinster MHC semi-final Kildare, who have defeated both Carlow and Laois to reach this stage of the championship, host Wexford in St Conleth's Park, Newbridge.
Offaly and Kilkenny received byes into the semi-final.
