It would be marvellous if we had big support: Aoife Bugler

Thu, 7th September 2017

Dublin camogie ace Aoife Bugler is hoping the fans get behind the Dubs in this Sunday's All-Ireland Premier Junior final at Croke Park (12.0).

"It’s brilliant for Dublin having teams in three of the four All-Ireland finals. The men's footballers, lady footballers and ourselves,” remarks Aoife.

“It’s fantastic for the county and it would be marvellous if we had a big support. It makes such a difference to hear the crowd roar when you run out onto the pitch, take a score, make a block or a hook," says the St Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh player.

“It makes you realise that all your hard work is being appreciated, so we’d love to see a big Dublin following there,” adds Aoife.

“Young children all over the country dream of playing in Croke Park. I’ll always remember going there when I was a kid and hoping that one day I’d get to play there.

“Now we have that opportunity. It is the stuff of dreams, but for us, it’s a 60-minute game of camogie, and that is what we’ll be focused on.”
