Dublin survived a slow start to their 2022 Walsh Cup campaign to recover and record a 9 point victory over a well drilled Antrim team in Parnell Park on Sunday afternoon.
The northerners were very sharp early as they took a 1-7 to 0-3 lead after 15 minutes but Dublin began to get to grips with the game and good scores from John Hetherton and Colin Currie reduced to gap and when Cian O'Sullivan showed his quality with a well taken goal before the break Dublin found themselves with a 2 point lead 1-13 to 1-11.
Currie added the second green flag of the day for the home side which helped him finish the afternoon with 1-13 in total with 9 of those coming from dead balls. Rian McBride added 0-5 from midfield as he got through a lot of work across the 70 minutes. Mattie Kenny introduced a number of substitutes as the game progressed.
Dublin face Galway next Sunday in Parnell Park with a 1400 throw in.
