Kilmacud Crokes Ryan O’Dwyer is hoping the Stillorgan men can take another step towards a Dublin SHC title when they face O’Toole’s in this Sunday’s semi-final at Parnell Park (2.15).
The Dublin senior hurler, who last year was left very badly injured after an unprovoked attack in Bermingham, is cherishing every game with Ollie Baker’s side.
“Every single game I play, I appreciate. I used to be the worst ever for playing challenges - I hated playing them.
“But every single match I play now, I’m grateful for it. Because it’s coming up to a year’s anniversary of what happened me. It could have been all taken away there,” says Ryan.
“At the moment it’s all about Kilmacud and I’m grateful that I can give a bit to Kilmacud because they were great for me in my recovery process.
“We’re in a semi-final now, there’s four teams left, so at this moment it could be anyone’s.”
Reigning champions, Cuala, face Lucan Sarsfields in the second semi-final at the Donnycarney venue (4.0).
