Dublin's Cormac Costello, Donegal’s Paddy McBrearty, and Louth’s Sam Mulroy are this week’s nominees for GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.
The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page. Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, June 1, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.
Paddy McBrearty (Donegal)
Paddy McBrearty excelled for Donegal in their Allianz Football League Division 1 North draw with Armagh on Saturday night. He scored eight points, five of them from play, and showed real leadership throughout for Declan Bonner’s team.
Cormac Costello (Dublin)
Cormac Costello continued his flying start to the season by scoring six points, five of them from play, in Dublin’s Allianz Football League Division 1 South victory over Galway on Sunday. The Whitehall Colmcilles man has now scored 3-22 in just three League matches.
Sam Mulroy (Louth)
Sam Mulroy was inspirational for Louth on Sunday as they turned a three-point deficit into a 10-point win over Sligo that secured their place in the Allianz Football League Division 4 semi-finals. Mulroy banged in two goals in quick succession early in the second half, assisted a third, and finished with a personal tally of 2-3.
