Ballyboden St Enda’s were crowned Dublin U15HC ‘A’ winners when defeating St Vincent’s 3-15 to 2-13 in a pulsating decider at Parnell Park on Sunday.
Boden got off to the brighter start with the help of some great frees from full-forward Fergal Ryan while he also fired home the opening goal in the fifth minute.
Vincent’s responded well when Kyle Ward deflected a free from the impressive Liam McGovern to the net.
Boden’s third goal was a move of beauty with the highly influential Malachy Codd setting up the attack which involved Tommy Farrelly and John McGuire before Enda Cashman clinically finished to the net.
Malachy Codd was Boden’s central player in the second period while at the back Conor Lowe repelled a succession of promising Vincent’s forays who were inspired by the craft of their centre-back Conor O’Brien.
With ten minutes to play the Marino men drew level but Boden hit three points without reply with Ryan (free), Enda Cashman and Malachy Codd on target on their way to victory.
