Ballyboden St Enda's will renew acquaintances in Wednesday night's refixed Go-Ahead Dublin SFC1 Group 1 Round 1 clash at Parnell Park (7.30).
Match tickets for the game are available here.
The sides clashed just over three weeks ago at the Donnycarney venue when a strong second half by Boden saw them run out 15-point victors, 2-17 to 0-8, at the Donnycarney venue.
However, a breach of rules with regard to the number of subs used by the southsiders has brought about Wednesday night's rematch.
Both sides will be in action again this Sunday in the concluding series of games in Round 3 of the Go-Ahead Dublin SFC1 - Raheny face Na Fianna in Parnell Park (2.0) while at the same time Boden will meet Whitehall Colmcille in O'Toole Park.
In their initial meeting Boden were 0-7 to 0-5 ahead at half-time before dominating the second half - outscoring their opponents 2-10 to 0-3 in the second period - including a dominance that resulted in a third-quarter score of 2-5 to 0-1.
Within a minute of the restart Warren Egan, who scored 1-4 from play overall, fired to the Raheny net after Conal Keaney had initially forced a turnover to release Alan Flood goalward.
Raheny replied with a Darren Byrne point but it proved to be their only score of the third quarter as Boden moved 2-12 to 0-6 ahead by the three-quarter mark.
Colm Basquel got the second Boden goal in the 36th minute when he raced through on goal from outside the 45-metre line before finding the net.
Ryan Basquel, Conal Keaney and wing-back Simon Lambert (two) also contributed to Boden's scoring surge.
Five minutes from time Boden almost got a third goal but Warren Egan's shot was well saved by Ciarán Heapes. Raheny were also left to rue a number of good goal-scoring opportunities in the opening 30 minutes.
In the fifth minute Seán Grenham pulled his shot wide when he might have offloaded to Jack Dalton, unmarked on the far post.
Five minutes later Seán Grenham's shot beat Boden 'keeper Darragh Gogan but defender Harry Donaghy got a boot to Grenham's effort to redirect it over the bar.
In the second quarter Harry Donaghy again was in the right spot at the right time when he stopped James O'Kane's goal-bound strike.
Since that encounter Boden have overcome Na Fianna, 1-14 to 0-14, in Round 2 while at the same stage Raheny defeated Whitehall Colmcille, 3-14 to 3-9.
Boden and Raheny also collided in last year's SFC1 when Anthony Rainbow's side prevailed 2-16 to 0-16 after extra-time in their quarter-final.
In extra-time the sides were level (1-13 to 0-16) with five minutes to go after Brian Fenton had a goal chance saved by 'keeper Darragh Gogan.
Boden heeded the warning to score 1-3 without reply in the dying minutes to battle their way to victory.
Ciarán O’Reilly was the late scoring hero, hitting 1-1, with a Ryan Basquel free and Conal Keaney (who tallied 0-5 overall) fisted point, following a great crossfield pass from Michael Darragh Macauley, securing their passage to the semi-finals.
O’Reilly’s goal came after his point effort rebounded to him off an upright and he reacted to fire the second opportunity to the net past Ciarán Heapes.
Raheny had forced extra-time with sub Seán Grenham playing a starring role, converting a mark and then two points from play along with a long-range Brian Fenton effort to make it all-square, 1-10 to 0-13.
Boden's goal arrived in the 45th minute when Ryan Basquel converted a penalty following a foul on Michael Darragh Macauley.
Boden had a late, late chance for a winner but Ryan Basquel’s free from over 40 metres faded wide. The southsiders had also concluded the half with 14 men after Cathal Flaherty was dismissed (two yellow cards).
In the first period of extra-time Cian Ivers edged Raheny in front following good approach play from Eoin Keogh.
Ross McGarry slotted a ‘45’ to level it again and by the interval the sides were still deadlocked after Seán Grenham, after combining with Seán McMahon and Eoin Keogh, pointed with Michael Darragh Macauley equalising for Boden (1-12 to 0-15).
However, Boden were reduced to 14 men when Darragh Nelson was black-carded for dragging down Brian Fenton in the last minute of this period.
In normal time, Ballyboden had finished the first-half on the up to lead 0-9 to 0-6. They also went close to getting the opening goal but Brian Bobbett’s shot glanced off the crossbar in the final minute of the opening half.
A Gavin Ivory free, following a foul on James O’Kane, in the 19th minute put Raheny 0-5 to 0-4 ahead.
However, Boden kicked the next four points in quick succession with Cathal Flaherty, Darren O’Reilly, Conal Keaney and Ryan Basquel all on target as Raheny struggled to get out of their own defence.
James O’Kane broke the Boden sequence of scores after good combination play involving Seán Byrne, Brian Fenton and Gavin Ivory.
Before the break a well-judged free from Colm Basquel on the 20m line wide on the left, following a foul on the influential Robbie McDaid, helped the 2019 champions to their three-point interval lead.
