All-Ireland Poc Fada finals this Saturday

The All-Ireland Poc Fada finals will be held in the Cooley Mountains this Saturday (start 11am).

Sixteen different counties will be represented between the senior and under-16 hurling and camogie competitions.

This year saw history created in the Poc Fada when for the very first time all 32 counties held a Poc Fada competition.

This year on the mountain are:

Brendan Cummins (Tipperary) will be trying for his 10th title, last won it in 2015 - third last year.

James McInerney (Clare) attempting to retain his title.

All-Star goalkeeper Eoin Murphy (Kilkenny) participating for the first time.

Donal McKernan (Antrim) wanting to create history by completing the double after winning the u16 title in 2014.

Aoife Murray (Cork) out to retain the senior camogie title.

Mags Darcy (Wexford) will try to bring a camogie title to the Model County.

Cathal Kiely (Offaly) U16 winner last year. He is attempting to achieve what his brother Cillian (Offaly Senior Hurler) did in 2011 and 2012 by winning the U16 title twice.
