Dublin GAA Marketing & Multimedia Internship

As part of a rapidly expanding and important area of communications, Dublin GAA is looking for a creative and dynamic person to help lead the development and management of its online communities. The person will be responsible for the fostering, interaction, education, engagement and discussion regarding all Dublin GAA matters through the use of online communities such as our Website, Twitter and Facebook amongst others. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Relationship management with current commercial partners 

• Coordinate the publication of written, video and visual content 

• Develop innovative media content, while ensuring messages are informative and in line with Dublin GAA values 

• Manage and moderate web / social media presence on all relevant platforms 

• Database maintenance / updating 

• Serve as the initial point of contact for queries on web / social media platforms 

• Liaise closely with Dublin GAA units to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy 

• Monitor and analyse web / social media trends to ensure Dublin GAA remains a leading force on social media 

• Develop and execute initiatives to increase engagement and add value to the online community experience 

• Enhance the match day experience of supporters in GAA stadiums and at home by maximising available resources regarding web / social media 

Skills/Abilities required: 

• In-depth knowledge of digital technology and social media with a working knowledge of web and mobile technologies 

• Understand the social media universe including Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogs and video operation etc. 

• Possess excellent writing skills and the ability to create editorial quickly 

• Strong knowledge of GAA 

• Appropriate third level qualification in online journalism/marketing, digital communications or other related area 

• Excellent administrative and IT skills are essential 

• Highly creative thinker with a strong aptitude for multitasking, coordinating multiple projects and tight deadlines 

• Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously, both internal and external, in a dynamic fast-paced environment 

• Knowledge of Irish would be advantageous 

• Knowledge of web analytics software and would also be an advantage
