Vins eyes on Boden not on Roll of Honour

Fri, 30th October 2015

There is no talk in the St Vincent’s dressingroom of the SFC three in-a-row as the Marino men set their sights on Sunday’s county final against Ballyboden St Enda’s in Parnell Park (4.0).

Tommy Conroy’s men have won the Dublin SFC for the past two seasons but their focus is purely on Boden and not on the record books.

“Anytime we play Ballyboden, it's always a massively tough battle,” says St Vincent’s defender Hugh Gill.

“They work hard off the ball, so I think it will be a great final. It will all come down to a bounce of a ball.

“It's terrific to be back in the county final again. But all year we have been taking just each game as it came along.”

Vins manager, Tommy Conroy, stressed that his team’s focus is purely on Sunday’s decider and not on the Dublin SFC Roll of Honour.

“Three in-a-row? We haven’t even discussed it. We have never even spoken about it. This is another match for us to concentrate on. Another game we have to try and win.”

The curtain-raiser to Sunday's SFC final is the Dublin U15FC 'A' final between Kilmacud Crokes and Whitehall Colmcille (2.0).

Ticket prices for Saturday's SHC 'A' final and Sunday's SFC final are - Stand: €13 adults, €10 students, €5 OAPs; Terrace: €13 adults, €5 for students and OAPs; U16s free of charge; Juvenile groups to terrace only.
