U21 footballers start on Leinster road

Tue, 28th February 2017

Dublin's starting 15 for Wednesday night's EirGrid Leinster U21FC quarter-final against Westmeath in St Loman's, Mullingar (7.30) contains eight players that started in last year's All-Ireland U21 semi-final defeat to Mayo.

Defenders Cillian O'Shea, Shane Clayton, Seán McMahon and Brian Howard are joined by midfielder Andy Foley and forwards Glenn O'Reilly, Con O'Callaghan and Colm Basquel from the side that lost by a point in late drama against the Connacht champions last spring.

Corner-back Eoin Murchan was introduced as a sub that day.

Paddy Small is currently making his way back to full fitness following injury.

Westmeath defeated Meath by two points last week to progress to Wednesday night's encounter.
