Dublin’s under-21 footballers make their championship bow in Wednesday night’s EirGrid Leinster U21FC quarter-final against Meath in Parnell Park (7.30).
The starting 15 includes three players who started in last year’s narrow All-Ireland U21FC semi-final loss to Tipperary (0-14 to 0-12) – Loran Molloy, Martin Cahilan and Andrew Foley.
The Dubs must plan without their Ballyboden St Enda’s duo of Shane Clayton and Colm Basquel, both members of last year’s team, as they prepare for their upcoming All-Ireland club SFC final on St Patrick’s Day while Eoin Murchan, another of the 2015 U21 team, is an injury concern and has not been selected.
Eoin Murchan and Andrew Foley are joint-captains of Dessie Farrell’s team.
