U20 and minor hurlers in Leinster Championship action

Dublin’s U20 and minor hurlers are in Leinster Championship action this weekend.

The U20 hurlers face Offaly on Saturday in St Brendan’s Park, Birr (12.0) in their Leinster quarter-final clash- a game that will be live on the Sport TG4 Youtube page.

Both sides have a game under the belt, back in October, when the Dubs defeated Antrim and Offaly were too strong for Westmeath.

Paul O’Brien’s Dublin overcame Antrim 2-22 to 1-8 in their Bord Gáis Energy Leinster U20HC first round clash at the Louth Centre of Excellence, Darver.

Dublin held a four-point half-time advantage but once they secured the upperhand in the second half they ran out comfortable victors.

Between the 38^th and 57^th minutes Dublin scored 1-10 without reply with half-time sub Kevin Desmond hitting the goal.

Offaly, who lined out without their senior panellists Brian Duignan, Killian Sampson and Ross Ravenhill, defeated Westmeath 2-22 to 3-9 in their provincial first round clash with Cathal Kiely scoring 0-12 (7f).

On Sunday Dublin’s minor hurlers face Westmeath in Cusack Park, Mullingar (12.30) in their Leinster MHC quarter-final. The game will also be streamed live on the Sport TG4 Youtube page.
