U16 footballers to face Down in Gerry Reilly semi-final

Dublin's under-16 footballers face Down in the Gerry Reilly U16 Football Tournament semi-final this Saturday in Millbrook, Oldcastle (12.0).

The Dubs received a walkover from Cavan last weekend in their scheduled quarter-final while Down were very impressive in their 5-18 to 1-6 win over Louth with the talented Oisín Savage tallying 1-7 (0-1f).

In the other quarter-finals there were wins for Meath (v Wexford) and Cill Dara (Kildare entered two teams) against Offaly.

Meath and Cill Dara meet in their semi-final on Sunday evening (7.0).

Dublin progressed to the Cup knockout stages after winning their three games in their group (Group B) defeating Down (3-14 to 3-11), Wicklow and Antrim.
