Two Dubs named on GAA.ie Football Team of Week

Tue, 6th August 2019

There are two Dubs named on this week's GAA.ie Football Team of the Week. Evan Comerford and Seán Bugler have been selected following their impressive displays.

Comerford dealt with Tyrone's high ball strategy with great assurance while also denying Connor McAliskey a goal with a close range save during the opening half in last Sunday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final Phase 3 clash in Healy Park, Omagh.

Comerford's Dublin minor team-mate of 2016 and U21 team-mate of 2017, when Dublin won the All-Ireland U21FC, scored three points from play and covered a lot of ground last Sunday.

The St Oliver Plunkett#s/Eoghan Ruadh clubman was still going strong at the finish when in the 75th minute he cut in along the endline before picking out Eoghan O'Gara with a long accurate handpass for the only goal of the game.
