CUALA 3-14 ST JUDE'S 0-13
Cuala will represent Dublin in the Leinster club SHC after defeating St Jude's by ten points in Saturday's Dublin SHC final at Parnell Park.
The Dalkey side will now face Offaly champions, Coolderry, after securing their first Dublin title since 1994 in impressive fashion.
The Treacy brothers, Seán and Dublin senior David, were the scorers-in-chief for the victors with Seán scoring 2-1 from play and David amassing a personal tally of 0-7, all from deadball situations,
After a very evenly balanced opening Cuala struck for the first goal in the 19th minute when Seán Treacy found the net following good approach play from Mark Schutte.
When David Treacy added two points Cuala move five points clear but Jude's responded with scores from Joey McManus and Ronan Joyce to leave a clear goal separating the sides at the interval, 1-7 to 0-7.
Jude's restarted in impressive fashion with points from Danny Sutcliffe and Jesse Kennedy within two minutes but the Tymon North men were rocked by a goal from the hard-working Colm Cronin, with Mark Schutte again to the fore in the build-up.
Cuala's third goal came in the 48th minute when Cronin turned provider for Seán Treacy and Cuala were well on their way to victory with Dublin midfielder Darragh O'Connell clipping three second half points as Jude's challenge was not helped by the dismissal of Joey McManus with just over 20 minutes remaining.
