Dublin GAA are delighted to announce Staycity Aparthotels as our new primary sponsor, with a launch event at Parnell Park today.
Dublin GAA, LGFA & Camogie players Brian Fenton, Dónal Burke, Caoimhe O'Connor & Emma O'Byrne were in attendance to launch the five-year sponsorship and launch the new jerseys.
Irish-owned Staycity Aparthotels, based in the heart of Dublin 8, was established in 2004 by CEO Tom Walsh and his brother Ger with a single apartment in a former U2 recording studio in Dublin’s Temple Bar.
The company has since grown to become one of Europe’s leading aparthotel operators and now operates nearly 6,000 apartments across five European countries.
The sponsorship deal will see Staycity sponsoring the county's hurling, camogie and football teams across all levels.
“Staycity Aparthotels is both proud and delighted to announce this new relationship with Dublin GAA, which will see us supporting communities at every level across Dublin. Staycity Aparthotels started with small beginnings in Dublin and has grown to become one of Europe’s leading aparthotel operators.
"The sponsorship comes at an exciting time for Staycity Aparthotels as it’s the first showcasing of our new branding, due to launch at the end of this year,” commented Staycity CEO Tom Walsh.
“Dublin GAA are delighted to launch our new partnership with Staycity Aparthotels, covering all four codes of GAA in Dublin”, says Mick Seavers, Chairperson Dublin GAA County Board. “We look forward to working closely with Staycity, promoting our games across the capital, building on the grassroots work done by our clubs, schools and colleges & continuing to increase participation rates across all age grades”.
Alison Perry, Marketing Manager of O’Neill’s, says "We’re delighted to reveal the new jersey and to have oneills.com as the Official Retail Partner of Dublin. We aimed to capture the essence of Dublin's rich sporting heritage while also bringing a modern look to the jersey.”
The jersey is available to pre-order from 15th and shipping of pre-orders will commence on 24th November.
