Dublin continued their preparations for the defence of the Leinster SFC with a 4-13 to 0-13 challenge victory over Clare in Miltown Malbay on Thursday night.
The Dubs were always in control with early goals from Bernard Brogan and Dean Rock had the Dubs 2-4 t0 0-3 in front inside 15 minutes, by the half-time interval Dublin had extended that to 2-8 to 0-5.
Second half goals from Bernard and Alan Brogan sealed victory for Jim Gavin’s men.
Meanwhile, Rory O’Carroll expects to return to training next week as he battles the hamstring injury that forced him off in the NFL Division 1 final against Cork.
“I’m still not back fully. I tore my hamstring against Cork so I’ve been out for two-and-a-bit weeks. Another week or so to go. Don’t want to come back too early,” said Rory.
“It’s still only ten days before championship which isn’t ideal, because I want to give myself the best chance of being selected. Long term I want to get my hamstrings right rather than rushing it.”
