Same starting 15 for All-Ireland SFC final

Dublin have named an unchanged from their semi-final victory for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC final against Mayo in Croke Park (3.30).

The Dubs defeated Tyrone last time out and Jim Gavin and his management team have given a vote of confidence to the same starting 15.

DUBLIN v MAYO IN REPEAT OF 2016 FINAL

After 61 games, it’s down to the biggest day of all in the GAA senior football All-Ireland championships when Dublin and Mayo meet in the final in Croke Park next Sunday (3.30).

It will be preceded by the minor final between Derry and Kerry at 1.15.

Defending champions, Dublin will be bidding for their 27th All-Ireland senior title while Mayo are bidding for their fourth title.

They meet for the 15th time in the championship, with Dublin having won eight of the previous 14 to Mayo’s two while there were four draws, the most recent coming last year.

It will be the fourth All-Ireland final meeting between them, with Dublin winning in 1921, 2013 and 2016 (replay).

ALL-IRELAND FINAL SHORTS

*This is the first time since 1987-88 that counties (Cork and Meath) have met in the All-Ireland final in successive years.

*Dublin’s only defeat under Jim Gavin in the championship (2013-2017) came against Donegal in the 2014 All-Ireland semi-final. They drew with Mayo in the 2015 semi-final and 2016 final and won both replays. It leaves Gavin’s record as follows: Played 30; Won 27, Drew 2, Lost 1.

*Mayo are seeking their first win over Dublin since the 2012 All-Ireland semi-final. The counties have met eleven times since then, with Dublin winning eight and drawing three.
