Scoil Uí Chonaill overcame the concession of two goals as they accounted for Lucan Sarsfields by 0-25 to 2-15 in their Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Hurling League Division 3 encounter at Clontarf Road on Saturday evening
In doing so, they picked up their second win of the campaign with Barry Cushen proving their scorer-in-chief with a personal tally of 0-10, 0-5 coming from placed balls.
Robbie Kennedy (0-4) and Tiernan Browne (0-3) ensured that the home scoreboard kept ticking over as the hosts claimed a deserved win through the efforts of Ruairí Coady, Oisín Benham, James Conway and Joe Ryan.
Commercials and Setanta continue to lead the way on eight points from four games with the former beating Na Fianna by 1-19 to 1-16 while Setanta defeated Bray Emmets by 5-10 to 0-21 in Bray on Friday night.
The influence of Fionntán Mac Gib could not be overestimated with the former Dublin attacker finishing the game with 3-4 to his name after a sparkling individual display.

In Go-Ahead Ireland AHL4, St Peregrine’s made a positive move up the table when getting the better of Clanna Gael Fontenoy by 1-16 to 2-9 at Blakestown Road.
The visitors started on the front foot with an early goal but a foul on Michael Meehan allowed Mark Sweeney the chance to despatch the resultant penalty, settling the hosts in the process.
The hosts retained that momentum through four points from wing-forward Reece Molloy and three scores by inside forward Isaac Quinlan.
At the opposite end of the field, both Shane Sweeney and Eoin Gleeson excelled in the St Peregrine’s defence with the former making sure of the win as he converted three crucial frees from distance.
In Pearse Park, goals at either end of the contest from Darragh Fay and Adam Doyle proved pivotal as Crumlin got the better of St Jude’s by 2-20 to 1-16.
Darragh Fitzgerald and Conor Murphy shone at the back for the hosts, who built up a winning tally thanks to points from half-back Peter Elliott and half-forward Kevin Elliott.
