Rossies too strong for Fingal

Rossies too strong for Fingal

Mon, 9th March 2015

ROSCOMMON 3-24 FINGAL 1-11

Gerry Fallon and Gary Fallon tallied 2-14 between them to see off Fingal in Rush on Sunday in their NHL3A encounter.

Gerry Fallon had scored 1-3 by the seventh minute, and even though JM Sheridan initially kept Fingal within touching distance, eight unanswered points in as many minutes (including two apiece for Gerry Fallon, Gary Fallon and former Galway underage star Keith Kilkenny) ensured that the Rossies led 1-14 to 0-6 at half-time.

Eoin O’Connor’s 44th minute goal did raise Fingal hopes but they were shortlived.
