Dublin footballer Paul Flynn expects to be back in the frame for the Leinster SFC semi-final against Meath on Sunday week in Croke Park (4.0) after his recent hamstring scare.
The Fingallians man pulled up in the warm-up of Dublin's recent quarter-final victory over Laois and sat out the game in Nowlan Park.
Paddy Andrews returned to action with his club, St Brigid's, in Dublin AFL Division 1 action last weekend after missing out on both the NFL Division 1 final and Championship encounter with Laois owing to injury.
"This is a hamstring strain. It can happen at any stage of your career, no matter what age you are. From mid-January, I hadn't missed one training session through injury so you're talking about a five-and-a-half-month period," says Paul.
"It might be my own fault, I might have jinxed myself because I was joking with the physios saying, 'I don't know what's going on in your life because I haven't been speaking to you'.
"The year before, we used to spend around two nights a week with one another because I was on the physio table all the time. It's just a tweak, it's not a wear and tear injury."
