Paul Flynn already planning for new season

Paul Flynn can’t wait to for the 2018 season to get up and running.

“I will try to get back as early as I can. That is the plan. I am fresh and I am ready to go.

“The first league game (v Kildare) is a little bit earlier I think, the last week in January, that would only give me two weeks preparation if I could get myself up to the pace of it,” says Paul who is getting married to Dublin ladies footballer, Fiona Hudson, this year and will return from his honeymoon in mid-January.

“I will be pushing hard to get back in as quick as I can. That would be the best way of putting it.

“It’s a funny season this year because we finished up in the middle of September, went back to the club and it was the first year going back to the club that I had no injuries.

“I was raring for more action because I missed 10 weeks in the middle of the season and then we had two games and it was done.

“And I was like you know, so I was finished up since October, nothing to do, so I’ve just been keeping myself fit, just trying to do a few bits.

“It’s been a long kind of ‘off-season’ so far already. I’m looking forward to get back in,” adds Paul.
