Dublin GAA are deeply saddened by the recent passing of our friend and former colleague Patsy Kiernan.
Patsy, as Chairman of Parnells GAA, guided the growth of their club at juvenile and adult level and was the caretaker in Parnell Park since the redevelopment of the grounds in 1995.
He is pictured above in 2017 with the Sam Maguire Cup alongside members of the Dublin Senior Football team and management.
Patsy was a conscientious, caring and patient man who was dedicated to the GAA and a great friend to the staff, committee members, team mentors, players and visiting officials. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone and took great pride in our grounds, working tirelessly to ensure everything was in place for the next game / meeting.
Patsy had a great sense of community and was involved in a number of charities. He was also instrumental in organising the fundraising initiatives for St. Francis Hospice on match days in Parnell Park.
Coiste Átha Cliath extend our sincere sympathies to Patsy’s family and friends.
