O’Sullivan set to return to training with senior footballers

Thu, 4th June 2015

Cian O'Sullivan expects to return to full training with the Dublin footballers shortly after missing last Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final victory over Longford in Croke Park.

A hamstring strain ruled out the versatile Kilmacud Crokes clubman who probably would have returned to action for his club this weekend if their Dublin SFC clash against Ballyboden St Enda's had gone ahead as originally scheduled.

Commenting on his injury Cian says: "Just a slight little knick on the hamstring there about ten days before the game so I wasn’t match fit.

“We had a club game scheduled for this Saturday and I would have played in that. But I hadn’t enough training sessions under my belt to be in the reckoning for last Sunday.”

“I just need to make sure that I get it right and take as much time as I need and maybe a little bit more on top of that just to ensure that when I do go back training next week with the team that it’s feeling good and the risk of doing it again is low.”

Cian was talking at the announcement that Bank of Ireland have signed an agreement to become the new official sponsor of Kilmacud Crokes. The sponsorship will commence immediately and will see them sponsor the club for an initial three-year period. The deal includes exclusive branding rights on all football, hurling, and camogie jerseys for senior, minor and féile teams.
