Dublin's minor hurlers open their Leinster MHL Group 4 account when they face Laois away this Saturday (Errill, 2.30).
Johnny McGuirk's side have the O'Moore County men as well as Kerry for company in their section with the top placed team progressing to the Cup semi-final and the second-placed entering the Shield semi-final.
The Dubs will be in MHC action in late April (opponents to be confirmed after earlier rounds) and the league.
“In some ways, it is very early in our preparations and we’re just looking to see how the lads integrate,” says Dublin manager Johnny McGuirk.
“We have only had the full panel working together for a short period so it is just a case of looking at lads and having a look at how they’re getting on in training and in challenge matches as we look towards the summer.”
Dublin recently faced Limerick in a challenge, losing narrowly (one point) in a well-contested duel.
“We were happy enough with what we saw against Limerick,” adds Johnny.
“It was the first time that we had all the lads together so it is something to build on."
