Mattie Kenny appointed new Dublin senior hurling manager

Mattie Kenny is the new Dublin senior hurling manager.

Mattie, who managed Cuala to back-to-back All-Ireland Club SHC titles in 2017 and 2018, has been appointed for a three-year term.

The management team will be confirmed at the next Dublin County Board County Committee meeting.

Dublin's senior hurlers face Carlow (away) in their opening game of the Walsh Cup on December 9.

The Dubs will compete in HL Division 1B again in 2019 with their opening game also against Carlow (home).on January 26.

Meanwhile, Ballyboden St Enda's Leinster Club SHC quarter-final against Westmeath's Clonkill has been refixed for this Tuesday night in Parnell Park (8.0).

In Saturday's Leinster Club IHC action Dublin's Faughs were beaten 3-16 to 2-11 by Offally's Ballinamere.

All three of Ballinamere's goals came in the opening half and they led 3-5 to 0-6 at the interval.
