Dublin's Masters footballers are through to the All-Ireland final after defeating Mayo in a well-contested semi-final at St Brigid's grounds, Kiltoom in Roscommon on Saturday afternoon.
The Dubs had to show blue steel to battle their way to victory as Mayo took control at the start of the second half and moved in front despite trailing by five points at the interval.
However, there was not to be a full repeat of this year's All-Ireland SFC semi-final at Croke Park as Dublin steadied the ship to eventually run out winners, 2-11 to 1-11 - Kevin Golden and Richie Herity getting Dublin's goals.
In the opening half Dublin played the better football and by the break were 1-8 to 0-6 clear. However, Mayo scored 1-3 without reply at the start of the second half to edge in front, 1-9 to 1-8.
Dublin though found their way again to run out three-point winners and progress to the All-Ireland decider when they will meet Tyrone, who outclassed Louth 2-18 to 0-3 in Clones, on Saturday, November 6.
