Dublin midfielder Michael Darragh Macauley anticpates a right battle with Donegal in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final in Croke Park on Sunday, August 31.
"We are expecting a battle in Croker Park, expecting nothing less to be honest, so we are looking forward to it. There is a good atmosphere around the place and are expecting to 'go to war' come the 31st.
"I think we are in a very good place. Attitude-wise, lads are bringing a great attitude to training every time they put on a pair of boots, so really looking forward," says the Ballyboden St Enda's clubman.
"The competition for places is huge at the moment and the lads coming off the bench are putting in some strong performances so it's tough and I wouldn't envy Jim's job," adds Michael.
The Dublin powerhouse is under no illusions as to the task that faces Jim Gavin's men in two Sundays time.
"They (Donegal) have come through the strongest provincial championship in the country and they rightfully won that so it's going to be a huge ask for us.
"We are going to see how set up or not set up we are come the 31st.
"It doesn't get much bigger than Donegal in an All-Ireland semi-final with a place in the All-Ireland final at stake so it's not going to be hard to motivate the players at training or get up for matches."
