Dublin senior ladies footballers will be hoping to keep their winning streak going when they face Armagh in this Saturday's TG4 All-Ireland SFC semi-final in Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan (4.30, live TG4).
"We are really looking forward to it. We haven’t played Armagh in the championship in a couple of years and they had a really good result against Mayo, so it’s definitely going to be a big challenge for us," said Dublin's Lyndsey Davey.
The Orchard County impressed in their 4-12 to 1-16 victory over Mayo last time out with Aimee Mackin scoring a stunning 2-7.
"Aimee is a fantastic footballer. She was a big loss to them when she picked up a cruciate injury last year and she’s been playing fantastic for them since she got back.
"She’s racked up some big scores, so she is a player we will definitely have to watch out for. She’s been a big boost for them, so it’s a good challenge for us.
"They’ve a good full-forward line, they’ve lots of experience and particularly in Caroline O’Hanlon. She’s a very experienced, talented player and one that would be their playmaker.
"Overall, Armagh have had two really big wins under their belts against Tyrone and Mayo, they will take lots of positives from that and I’m sure they will be well up for the game."
The Jackies, their reigning All-Ireland champions, progressed from their group with wins over Donegal and Waterford.
"It’s definitely been a challenging couple of months. We’ve only been back training since September. Obviously our last league game would have been against Waterford in March.
"So it was a long time we went without playing. We had a couple of weeks back and played two very tough championship games within the space of a week and that was definitely tough on the body.
"So it was trying to get through those two games and Donegal was a very big challenge for us. We didn’t know where we were at, we hadn’t played a county team in so long, so that was a great win for us against Donegal."
