Leinster Gold Final 2025

FT Score Dublin 5-05 (20) Laois: 4-03 (15)

Dublin U14’s have captured the Leinster Gold Crown following a pulsating battle with Laois. Full credit to both teams for serving up an exciting, hard fought quality game of football in difficult playing conditions.

The game was played before a sizeable crowd of spectators who on a bank holiday weekend braved the poor weather to add greatly to the occasion.

Laois led at the interval by 2-03 to Dublin's 1-01. Dublin’s first half goal coming from a converted penalty by Vanessa Wilserhun. The O’Moore County extended their lead in the second half and as the game entered the final quarter appeared to be in control of the game.

The young Dubs never gave up and continued to challenge. Second half substitute Aoife Doherty from Westmanstown Gaels stepped up to the plate with some vital goals in the final period of this exciting game to clinch the title for the Dubs.

Following todays win Dublin will now turn their focus to the All-Ireland series which gets underway in a few weeks’ time.
