Dublin minor football manager Jim Lehane knows his troops will have to perform to their best if they are to prevail in Saturday's Electric Ireland Leinster MFC final against Kildare in Pairc Tailteann, Navan (2.0). Live on TG4 YouTube
The Dubs showed true grit in their provincial semi-final victory over Westmeath when coming from five points in arrears early in the second half before eventually prevailing by four points (0-18 to 1-11).
Kildare, who will be competing in their sixth Leinster MFC decider in seven years (missing out in 2017), defeated Laois (0-12 to 1-6) in their semi-final.
“We have seen a few clips of Kildare and they look like a team that are very strong down the middle," said Dublin minor manager Jim Lehane.
“They are quick and athletic and quite a physical team and they are very well organised and don’t tend to concede too much.
“The lads are just very focussed on the match and it’s great to have something to play for.
“Everyone is really looking forward to the final and there are so many of them putting their hands up in terms of being involved in the starting 15 or the match-day panel.
“There is a great competition among the group and that is very healthy from our perspective and we can’t wait until Saturday,” added Jim.
The winners of Saturday's Leinster MFC final will face the Connacht runners-up (Galway v Mayo) in their All-Ireland MFC quarter-final while the Leinster runners-up will face the Connacht champions on weekend of July 27/28.
