ST KIERAN’S (Kilkenny) 3-11 DUBLIN NORTH 2-7
Dublin North’s Leinster dreams were extinquished by traditional powerhouse St Kieran’s of Kilkenny in their Leinster Schools SHC ‘A’ semi-final in Fenagh, Carlow.
The Kilkenny academy started well when firing over the opening four points but the freetaking of Johnny McGuirk kept Dublin North very much in contact at the break, with Kieran’s holding a 0-7 to 0-5 lead.
Martin Keoghan put Kieran’s on the road to victory when grabbing the first goal of the game but Dublin North battled to the end with goals from Colin Currie and Daire Grey.
