Senior hurling manager Mattie Kenny has called on Dublin supporters to back his men in this Sunday's All-Ireland SHC preliminary quarter-final against Laois in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise (4.15).
"We are agreed that the Galway game, that the support there that night was massive to the team, it was '16th man' so we need them to travel in their numbers next Sunday, we need them down in Portlaoise and getting behind the team like they did in Parnell a couple of weeks ago.
"So we are asking for big numbers to turn out and support us come next Sunday," said Mattie.
It was a clarion call that was echo by Dublin forward David Treacy, who has recovered from injury (groin) to return to full training ahead of Sunday's big game.
"I've seen pictures of crowds that have been going to the Laois matches and last weekend (Joe McDonagh final victory over Westmeath in Croke Park, 3-26 to 1-21) was no different," said David.
"They came in their droves and that's what we are expecting and no better crowd to match that then that Dublin. It's only an hour outside of Dublin so we expect a big crowd.
There was nothing better than in the Galway game you could hear, obviously towards the end being in the stand, I could hear 'Come on ye boys in blue', which is quite rare at a hurling game so we are expecting, and we'd love to have, a massive crowd and massive support to drive us on every single minute."
Looking ahead to Sunday's encounter in Portlaoise the Dublin manager says preparations since the dramatic victory over Galway in the Leinster SHC Group stage at Parnell Park have gone well.
"Since our last game against Galway . . . obviously we recovered after that game and prep is going well, good buzz in the camp and the lads are really enjoying it," said Mattie.
"They (Laois) were hugely impressive last Sunday and put up a really big score.
I've been impressed with Laois all year, (we) played them in the Walsh Cup and in the League and there's only been a puck of a ball between us on either occasion and we are going down to their home patch next Sunday and they are going to have a huge, passionate home crowd there, so it's going to be a huge test for us," added the Dublin manager.
Cuala sharpshooter Treacy has returned to full competitive training since the Galway clash and is available again for selection ahead of this weekend's preliminary quarter-final, the prize for which is a Croke Park quarter-final date against Tipperary seven days later.
"Prepartions are going great, training is the sunshine is fresh, it's the time of year you want to be training so preparations going really well at the minute," said David.
"I tore a muscle in my groin and the Galway game came just a bit too soon for that so I've been working really had with the physio team to get that right so thankfully now I'm back to full training so I should be available for selection for the weekend, and really looking forward to it now.
"Games like that they are always gutting to miss but the main thing is the guys got over the line and that's the important thing.
"That's the beauty about this squad that we have, I mean the likes of Oisin O'Rorke to step up and nail every single free. A big ask for him that day and really important but the strength in depth, it's hugely competitive and I'm just going to do my best and put my hand up and make myself available."
Treacy knows that Laois are in excellent form and will be massive buoyed by their Joe McDonagh final victory over Westmeath last weekend in Croke Park.
"Hugely impressive, look (scoring) 3-26, they have great firepower in the top eight and that was evident. We would have played them in the league, albeit it was a horrific day, but the brand that they play is quite similar to ours, it's a high intensity, very physical game.
Niall Corcoran (Laois selector, former Dublin hurler), a former team-mate of mine with Dublin, has his stamp all over the squad in terms of how he preps them. The work-rate that they have is really amazing so we are not taking anything for granted this weekend."
"Look, wins are brilliant but they mean nothing, it's always about the next game and that's our full focus and we're just really looking forward to the challenge."
