Jim Gavin has confirmed that Diarmuid Connolly is back training with the Dublin panel.
The St. Vincent's man hasn’t featured for the Boys in Blue since an Allianz League clash with Mayo in 2018.
However, speaking to Dubs TV this morning, Gavin gave an update on the Dublin panel following last night's win over Cork and ahead of next week’s Super 8s meeting with Roscommon at Croke Park.
“Last night’s game was tough - a lot of tired bodies this morning", he said. “We’ll try get a couple of sessions in this week."
Speaking about the panel available to him, Gavin continued:
“We got James McCarthy back on the pitch” (following his recent injury).
“Eoin Murchan. Jonny Cooper” ( who came off the bench last night following his recent injury).
“Diarmuid Connolly is back training with us.”
“Rob McDaid is back. Peadar O’Cofaigh Byrne is with the U20s and Darren Gavin is coming back as well this week, so there’s a whole host of players who are returning to play. So there’s great competition there for a match-day place”.
Dublin face Roscommon in the Super 8s next Saturday evening at Croke Park.
